Library in Maskwacis

I volunteered my time to assist with a press release and media relations related to the announcement of a new library in Maskwacis on a First Nations reserve. This is only the second community library to be opened on Indigenous land in Alberta. The resulting earned media showed how important libraries are. Lieut. Gov. of Alberta, Lois Mitchell, as well as Rick Wilson, Minister of Indigenous Relations for Alberta also attended. This day was a successful event with strong media and reader interest.
