Samples of my work can be found below and soon to come I will bring links to the many pieces I wrote as the editor. Being able to write clear articles that not only inform the public but also generate behavioural change has been a rewarding experience. Equally rewarding was receiving awards through the Alberta Weekly Newspaper Association and Canadian Community Newspaper Awards. When your peers recognize an article, it is a humbling and fulfilling experience.
A big part of how I worked as the editor was to remain truthful and use an ethical approach to my writing. Those principles are what helped garner a loyal following and to this day, readers come up to me to speak on past issues.  I developed positive working relationships with RCMP, the fire department and politicians in the area. It was this type of behaviour that helped bring positive working relationships and stories that readers could trust.

Working with the Ponoka County East District Fire Department as they flood the ice skate path in Ponoka.

Ponoka played host to the 2019 Red Deer Canada Winter Games Torch Relay. A good moment for the community.

An incredible moment when the Maskwacis Nations joined together to form the Maskwacis Education School's Commission, amalgamating Cree beliefs into the education while also aligning funding to be similar to the rest of the country.

RCMP come to Ponoka to learn horse riding skills through extensive riding and assessment. Some Mounties from this program are now in the RCMP Musical Ride that tours the country.
